Scheduling of server maintenance

Why are planned server maintenances scheduled for the late afternoon/ early evening hours in europe when people come home from work and want to play?

I don't buy a game which I can also play solo to not be able to play because of some bad planned server update.

So if you have to update your servers please update them independetly in the diffrent time zones.

|||Totally agree with this. This server maintenance is at peak European play time. It starts at 5pm GMT for god sake! Gentsthis really needs a re think!|||

It's always going to be an inconvenience for someone somewhere, it has to be at a time that suits them(when they're most able and have sufficient time to sort out unforseen problems).

It's a bad time for me, but it's not going to stop me playing.

It's going to be less of an inconvenience though if they moved the downtime to 00:00 (12pm midnight) at US times, that way the states gets the maintenance at night, and the europeans get it early morning hours where people are at work/school or asleep.

So that argument that "it's always going to be an inconvenience for someone" doesn't hold water at all.

Fact is, if they don't start fixing the bugs, the lacking features and reschedule their current maintenance hours, the only purchase I already made for greek premium, is the ONLY purchase I will ever make on this game.
